DRUM HEAD DECALS
Fitting A Custom Decal
1. Place your drum on a level surface.
2. Clean the drumhead with a soft brush to remove any dust etc.And a small amount of washing up liquid /Baby Hair Shampoo very diluted.
3. Position your new decal so that you are happy how it looks. Take your time here!
4 Spray the head with the diluted liquid this will enable you to position the head much better.Note: Be careful not to damage your drum shell by over wetting the area.
5. Once you are happy remove the top backing paper and slowly apply to the drum head we recommend you use a felt edge scrapper here to avoid damage to your print and to smooth out any air pockets that may occur. (scraper available from Pimpco shop)
6. Work your way from the centre of the drum out pushing any air out from between the drumhead and print surface.
7. Now leave it overnight ,the next day if there are any lifted areas apply pressure to stick decal to the head in that area.(if there are any unwanted bubbles you can use a fine pin to release the trapped air)
6. Make sure you take care with all application stages to ensure good adhesion to the drum head
We recommend you apply decals to uncoated heads and this to be supervised by an adult if under 18 and handling sharp instruments.
